The School of Media and Communication invited Adjunct Associate Professor Ms. Eileen Khor, Regional Content Manager at SEEK Asia to share her experiences in the creative industry during the session titled “A Career in Creative: Finding Your Way” to students of Creative Design for Advertising and Advertising & Brand Management Collaborative Project modules which were from Semester 4 and 5.
Ms. Eileen shared with the students about the various jobs she has held starting as a Creative Executive on TV productions at Endemol to Art Director at LOKi and subsequently Head of Creative Innovation at ADA and now Regional Content Manager at SEEK Asia, and her philosophy and approach with regards to exploring different career paths.
There was a half-hour Q & A session, which Ms. Eileen fielded various questions from the students, such as advice on approaching potential mentors, opportunities in the industry, and whether employers today prefer generalists or specialists. The webinar was attended by 150 students from the School of Media and Communication.
