‘Gin Jubilee’ is an event that brought together numerous brands of the world's finest gins, top bars, renowned bartenders and thousands of gin enthusiasts. It is a yearly festival organized by Wholly Spirits and East Imperial, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The students had the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and skills in mixology, a key aspect of the hospitality industry.
20 students were involved in various tasks such as working on ticketing , mixing drinks and providing support at both the front and back bar areas. They worked together with the top 20 bars and bartenders from Kuala Lumpur, including establishments like Rakh, Brooklyn Bar, Bar Trigona, Gekko Dining, Triptyk, The Vault, Woo Bar, Remedy, Reka:Bar, Frank's Bar, Three X Co, Skullduggery, Concubine, 720S, JUS, Ikiya 2.0, Botakliquor, BAC, Terumi and Alcohall. They had also the opportunity to observe and learn from experienced professionals in the field of mixology, providing them with valuable insights and techniques.
The students actively contributed to the festival's success, and their involvement was greatly appreciated. The Gin Jubilee attracted a significant number of attendees, with more than 6,000 people participated in the event. Throughout the festival, a remarkable 6,000 drinks were sold, highlighting the popularity and success of the event. The festival spanned from May 15th to the 27th before culminating with the highly anticipated Gin Lane finale on May 27 at Sentul Depot in Kuala Lumpur.
