On 25th March 2022, 15 Taylor's Culinary Institute (TCI) students and lecturer were invited to anchor the French Embassy’s event as F&B crew during the International Francophone Festival, held at Glasshouse, Kuala Lumpur. The event was participated by 12 Embassies and High-Commissions from Belgium, Canada, Egypt, France, Guinea, Laos, Poland, Romania, Senegal, Switzerland, Ukraine and Vietnam to celebrate Women in Francophonie.
The students were to coordinate the catering event from various countries’ offerings such as wines from French and Canadian booths, beer from Belgium booth, juices from various booths, and mocktails from Monin booth. The food showcased by all participating French speaking countries such as Switzerland, Romania, Ukraine, Senegal, Egypt, Guinea, Poland and Vietnam.
TCI students had the privilege to served the VVIPs from various countries ambassadors and ministers skillfully. They had maintained a high professionalism throughout the event and garnered various compliments from the guests and organizers. The students left with a big smile on their face and a rich learning experience.
