On the 20th of February 2020, School of Media and Communication (SOMAC) successfully organised Media and Communication Lecture Series (MCLS) entitled: Media Council Roundtable: Last Chance to Save the Media. Featuring members of the Pro-Tem Committee for the Malaysian Media Council and SOMAC's Dr. Benjamin Loh Yew Hoong, Programme Director and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Roslina Abdul Latif. The roundtable discussed issues faced in the formation of the Malaysian Media Council, what are key values that need to be upheld and supported by this council and how can it return public trust in the media.
The panelist included Dr. Benjamin Loh Yew Hoong, Mr. Mohd Radzi Bin Abdul Razak, Ms. Tehminanee Bakhtyar Kaoosji, Mr. K A Jahabar Sadiq and Ms. Gayahtry A/P S. Venkiteswaran and was moderated by our own Assoc. Prof. Dr. Roslina Abdul Latif.
