MR. MUHAMMAD FAHMI ‘MOSHI’ FAIRUZ

Group Chief Operating Officer

KITAMEN, Kitamen Resources Sdn Bhd

Fahmi, also known as Moshi, began his professional career in events management after graduating with a Bachelor’s degree (Honours) in Event Management from Taylor’s University, Subang Jaya in 2014. Having met Hazman via an unexpected collaboration for an event back in 2015, the two decided to combine their passion for gaming and events. After incorporating KITAMEN in 2016, the company has been active in both the local and regional esports scene by organizing tournaments and events for gaming and esports enthusiasts from all walks of life.

Eventually, the brand grew into a family of passionate professionals in the gaming/esports and is now a company that ventures into multiple branches of the industry, specializing in live events management, marketing, production, online broadcasting as well as sponsorship activation. Since its inception, KITAMEN has been active in the local esports scene and is experienced working with both endemic and non-endemic brands. To date, this gaming lifestyle brand has managed projects and events across all the states in Malaysia, from small-scale community events to large-scale events with an accumulative prize pool of more than RM500,000 over the years.

Being in a fast-paced industry such as gaming/esports, KITAMEN has cemented itself as a key industry player with its collaborations with industry giants such as Playstation, Acer, ASUS and Telekom Malaysia Group, unifi and many others. A recent accomplishment in KITAMEN’s portfolio is co-organizing the first and largest campus esports championship together in collaboration with Media Prima Digital: the Celcom Xpax Kejohananan Esukan Kampus. With the third season approaching in early 2020, the event covered almost 266 tertiary-education campuses, both private and public, nationwide and involved more than 5000 students across 2 seasons starting in 2019.

KITAMEN strives to be unique and innovative in its efforts to develop the local gaming/esports industry and Fahmi envisions the company to expand regionally whilst continuing to master every sector in the industry. Moving forward, KITAMEN seeks to elevate the industry towards a greater future by uniting the passions of gamers and making people happy with video games.
