A Love for Sweets: School of Food Studies and Gastronomy Launches Specialised Pathway in Patisserie

The School of Food Studies and Gastronomy (SFSG) introduced a specialised degree in confectionery and baking - Bachelor in Patisserie Arts (Hons) programme.

Designed to produce elite pastry chefs and bakers, the programme incorporates the mastery of various pastry and baking skills along with technologies relevant to today’s industry requirements, while also equipping graduates with business and marketing capabilities to operate in a global scenario and become trendsetters in the industry.

The new degree was announced through a one-of-a-kind virtual masterclass with Taylor’s University’s very own pastry chef lecturer, Aaron Tang Kang Kok Keong and ex-Taylor’s alumni Chef Edwin Chan from Elevete Patisserie. Participants in the masterclass were guided by the experts to create a White Chocolate Tiramisu with Coffee Cremeux, demonstrating the intricacies associated with patisserie arts. https://my.asiatatler.com/dining/tatler-tries-a-virtual-baking-class-taught-by-taylors-university
