Celebrating Achievement and New Beginnings: FSLM Graduates Embark on Their Next Chapter

Taylor’s University proudly celebrated the achievements of its students as the Faculty of Social Sciences and Leisure Management (FSLM) held its convocation ceremony on 19 July 2026 at The Grand Hall, Taylor’s University. The occasion commemorated the accomplishments of graduates as they marked the successful completion of their academic journeys. A total of 918 graduates from the faculty’s five distinguished academic schools were honoured, including graduates from FSLM’s offshore campus partnerships with IIMS and Fishtail in Nepal, underscoring the faculty’s strategic focus on expanding access to quality education through global academic collaborations. The convocation reflected FSLM’s continued commitment to academic excellence, quality education, and student success across its diverse programmes.


As graduates celebrated this significant achievement, they also looked ahead to new opportunities and the next chapter of their personal and professional development. The graduating cohort showcased remarkable diversity, with 558 international students representing more than 32 countries, including China, Indonesia, Maldives, Japan, Vietnam, Bangladesh, South Korea, and Pakistan, among others. This multicultural representation reflects Taylor’s University’s global outlook and its commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment that embraces diverse perspectives and experiences.

The ceremony was graced by the distinguished dignitaries, including Chancellor, Y.Bhg. Emeritus Prof. Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. Syed Jalaludin Bin Syed Salim; Vice Chancellor and President, Prof. Dr. Barry Winn; Pro Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement), Prof. Dr. Anthony Ho Siong Hock; Executive Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Neethiahnanthan Ari Ragavan; Prof. Dr. Jean Pierre Poulain, University of Toulouse-Jean Jaurès; Registrar, Ms. Ungku Nazli Ungku Ismail; Heads of Schools and Departments; Programme Directors; faculty academics; and the proud families of our graduates. Their presence highlighted the University’s unwavering dedication to recognising and celebrating the remarkable achievements of its students.
