On 13th May 2020, Taylor’s Centre for Languages (CFL) successfully held the third meeting with Intensive English (IEN) students to engage with them during the pandemic COVID -19 situation. Around 62 students from IEN 1 and IEN 2 attended the meeting.
The IEN Meeting is a platform for students to raise their concerns about their lessons and any other matters of concern. The meeting was attended by English Language lecturers and the Programme Director of the Centre for Languages.
Mr. Fong King Yap, an expert in Chinese Language, attended as a translator during the meeting. 80 per cent of IEN students are from China, so having Mr. Fong King Yap was very helpful in getting CFL to understand students’ issues. The meeting is held once in two weeks on Wednesday from 3.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.
