Taylor’s Culinary Institute proudly celebrates the exceptional achievements of our students at the Anchor Pastry Challenge 2025, a prestigious national competition that showcases the creativity, technical skill, and innovation of Malaysia’s emerging pastry chefs. This annual event attracts top talent from across the country and features rigorous categories, including bread, viennoiserie, cakes, and plated desserts.

Among the standout performers, Ryan Ang, a student from the Bachelor of Culinary Management programme, impressed the judging panel with his refined techniques and precise execution in the Bread and Viennoiserie category, earning a Silver Award. Equally commendable, Yap Jing Li from the Bachelor of Patisserie Arts programme also secured a Silver Award in the highly competitive Cake and Pastry category. Their accomplishments reflect not only their dedication and hard work, but also the quality of education and mentorship provided at Taylor’s.

Adding to the institute’s success, Sandee Churme, representing the Advanced Diploma in Patisserie and Gastronomic Cuisine programme, demonstrated exceptional finesse and artistry, earning a Bronze Award in the Cake and Pastry category. Her performance highlighted a strong command of advanced pastry techniques and a distinct artistic vision. In addition to their category awards, both Ryan Ang and Yap Jing Li received the Media Favourite Award, selected by a panel of media professionals and culinary influencers. This recognition honours entries that excel in creativity, aesthetic appeal, and storytelling, further underscoring the versatility and talent of these young pastry chefs.

These remarkable achievements testify to the commitment, discipline, and innovation fostered at Taylor’s Culinary Institute. We are immensely proud of our students for their outstanding performance, which upholds the spirit of excellence that defines our community. Their success continues to inspire fellow students and reinforces Taylor’s position as a leading institution for culinary and pastry arts in Malaysia.
