Taylor's Culinary Institute (TCI) was proud to have our alumni, Chef Kevin Wong who was placed in the Top 3 of “S. Pellegrino Young Chef Grand Finale” International competition held in Milan with his "Hawker-inspired Duck Creation". S. Pellegrino, an Italian natural mineral water brand conducted a global search for talented young chefs in Milan, Italy in October 2021.
Being a 27-year-old Malaysian born young chef, Chef Kevin has shined with his amazing talents and brought the hawker heroes of Malaysia & Singapore on the highlight. Chef Kevin’s journey begun his studies with Diploma in Culinary Arts continuing to Advanced Diploma in Patisserie & Gastronomic Cuisine at Taylor's University.
He has been in many well-known kitchens through his internship with Taylor’s Culinary Institute ranging from 1 star to 3 star such as Le Parc by Frank Putelat who is now Meilleur Ouvrier de France, a title awarded by the President of France as few of the best craftsmen in France. He is now the Chef de Cuisine of Meta Restaurant, Singapore which has been also awarded 1 Michelin Star by the Michelin Guide.
