We are delighted to have top academic partners from three continents joining TUTAS Conservatory as visiting faculty to support our mission in Malaysia’s performing arts education. Since May 2020, Bachelor of Performing Arts under the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences have been working progressively to expand our network globally by having theatre icons and academicians all around the world to participate as speakers for our online webinar series.
This collaboration leads to the expansion of our visiting faculty list and we are delighted to announce our new appointments for this year. We are very proud to have our Malaysian’s dance icon, Prof. Dr. Joseph Gonzales who currently leads the postgraduate programme at The Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts. We are also honoured to have two theatre experts from New York, Mr. Leon Ingulsrud and Mr. Frederick Ertl to join our visiting academic list who will give useful knowledge to our students.
To have our Malaysian born theatre director who are currently teaching at London Academy of Music & Dramatic Arts, Mr. Vik Sivalingam to join our visiting academic list will give a wonderful impact towards our current theatre education in Malaysia. We hope these new appointments will provide greater learning diversity in our performing arts students, aligning with our mission to produce industry ready professionals in the field of performing arts to the global stage.
