Since Dharma’s graduation a few years ago, adulthood was not always been easy for him. From needing to relocate far from family to taking on odd jobs throughout the year, he had always felt unstable and needing to find a remedy. At this point, he strongly had the urge to take charge and dictate his future, potentially in something that he could call his own. Coincidentally, it was at this point that he stumbled upon a business idea and was on a look out for a partner who shared similar interest; a partner who is reliable and trustable and boom they had established their own business – Bowl & I.
Located in Batam, Indonesia, Bowl & I restaurant was officially launched on 8th March 2020. Within half a year, they had successfully created an effective system to facilitate tasks delegation easily. A large part of the success is due to great inventory management, as well as structured staff trainings in everyday tasks such as in taking orders, serving customers and using standardized recipes. Despite Covid-19 situation, their marketing strategy has continued to be a success. Moreover, they are currently in discussion to open a second branch latest by the end of this year to cope with the demand for our food.
Albeit a small team, their team has been working in perfect synergy. Dharma is currently in charge of marketing and internal management, while his business partner is overseeing the segment related to cooking and quality control. Dharma said “Fortunately, the knowledge that was imparted from Taylor’s provided me with the necessary skills to execute my everyday task. Taylor’s Hospitality School was home for us where we fought to get best grades and yet now results were a past that we cannot change.” “Great ideas don’t come overnight; it takes time, great friends and countless brain storming. Therefore, don’t be afraid to take your time and continue to do your best, today”.
Taylor’s School of Hospitality, Tourism and Events are ever proud of their trailblazing alumni.
