A Collaborative Community Carnival "GreenBliss Fiesta" by Taylor's Events Management Students - An Exemplary Real World Learning

Bachelor of International Events Management (Hons) final year students successfully organized the GreenBliss Fiesta, a community carnival at Kelab Kebun P3KU as their final year project for the Live Event module. This event was a collaboration with Bamboo Project by Taylor’s School of Architecture, Building & Design with the support of Taylor's Livable Urban Community Impact Lab, in partnership with Majlis Bandaraya Subang Jaya (MBSJ) and Majlis Perwakilan Penduduk (MPP) Zone 3.

GreenBliss Fiesta perfectly captured the essence of sustainability, community, and celebration. The student's collaborative efforts to support Kelab Kebun Komuniti in USJ 18, particularly one run by special needs children, were touching and motivational. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of YB Senator Tuan Isaiah D. Jacob, a Member of the Senate, and YB Tuan Wong Chen, Member of Parliament of Subang, adding their sparkle to this unforgettable carnival event.

Amidst the whirlwind of meticulous planning, creative brainstorming, and tireless coordination, Taylor's Events Management students achieved resounding success in organizing this remarkable event. Reflecting on this journey, it is clear that dedication, passion, and teamwork have blossomed into an unforgettable experience for all involved. From the initial inspiration to the final execution, every step has showcased the students' unwavering commitment and pursuit of excellence. They navigated logistics, budget challenges, and brought ideas to life with precision.

The GreenBliss Fiesta saw an impressive turnout of over five hundred attendees, raising RM2,500 to be donated to Kelab Kebun P3KU. The students' involvement from concept to execution honed their event management skills and provided valuable insights into the dynamics of teamwork, leadership, and adaptability. Challenges along the way fostered growth, resilience and innovation, preparing them for the industry demands. The students shared their rewarding experiences and learnings from organizing the event.

From the beneficiary's perspective, the collaboration between the organizing committee and Kelab Kebun P3KU illuminated the power of joint efforts to instigate positive community transformation. Majlis Bandaraya Subang Jaya (MBSJ) commended the innovative and dynamic nature of the GreenBliss Fiesta.
