School of Hospitality, Tourism and Events proudly organized Event Management Webinar Series entitled “Creating Successful Online Events”. The invited speakers were experts from the business events industry; Mr. Kenneth Fong, Vice President, Exhibition of MACEOS (Malaysian Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers); and, Ms. Dee Dee Quah, Founder and Director of Medical Conference Partners. Both speakers have more than 10 years of experience in the business events industry.
The session began with a series of poll questions for the participants and a total of 60 number of people joined this webinar. The webinar emphasized on how to create successful online events. Few awesome tips and tricks were shared by the speakers and were very useful for the students. The discussion covered different platforms for different sizes of target audiences, skills in technology which would add great value for events students, importance of having a team for organizing an event and advantage of taking time to expand one’s skills.
