Launch of New Edited Volume “Sabah from The Ground: The 2020 Elections & The Politics of Survival"


Dr. Benjamin Loh, Senior Lecturer from School of Media and Communication launched a co-edited book entitled “Sabah from The Ground: The 2020 Elections & The Politics of Survival.” The book is a collection of works from researchers, activists and journalists who were in Sabah, monitoring and participating in the state elections last year. The book is jointly published by SIRD and ISEAS Singapore and is available in bookstores or online.


Following its release in late April 2021, Dr. Benjamin had been involved in a media campaign to promote the book in various media platforms, which had culminated towards an official launch event that was hosted by School of Media and Communication on 7th May 2021. The launch event that featured numerous prominent Sabah personalities was covered by local media.
