Recently Dr. Mayukh Dewan, Lecturer from School of Hospitality, Tourism and Events (SHTE) was invited by the Centre for Higher Degrees by Research (CHDR), Taylor's University to conduct a research seminar titled “Philosophical Standpoints in Research with a Focus towards Qualitative Research”. The seminar was wholeheartedly attended by nearly 150 postgraduate students and undertaking PhD and Masters in Taylor's University as well as many faculty members.
Dr. Mayukh shared about philosophical standpoints in research with a focus on qualitative research. He discussed various paradigms and the minute differences between each paradigm. He further focused on Ethnography as a research method and the reasons why it should be employed more and more by modern researchers. The seminar was a roaring success.
