‘Sisters Doing It for Themselves’ Event

In celebration of International Women’s Day, Taylor’s had an open mic session entitled ‘Sisters Doing It for Themselves’ on 5th March 2021 via Zoom. This was held in collaboration with Taylor’s Speaker’s Corner to showcase the successes and struggles of Taylorian women in their journey towards achieving their goals and dreams through storytelling, poetry, art, music and more. Dr. Nur Haniz Mohd Nor, representative from School of Media and Communication, urged students to empower themselves with confidence, to never give up and to always work hard towards the things they wanted to achieve in life. About 100 participants joined the session that evening; it was also streamed live on the Taylors Speakers Corner Facebook Page.
