Taylor’s American Degree Transfer Program Hybrid Orientation Model for Incoming Winter 2022 Students


Taylor’s American Degree Transfer Program (ADTP) recently held its recurring event of Taylor’s ADTP Orientation Day on 7th February 2022. It was the first time held in a hybrid mode, where lecturers and students came to campus for their orientation while there was also a Live Streaming for those unable to attend on-campus due to the Covid-19 situation. Head of School, Professor Dr. Anindita Dasgupta gave the welcome address, followed by program briefing by the Program Director, Dr. Loh Kah Heng. The students were reminded to follow the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and practice social distancing.


Dr. Nurfarhanim Abu Bakar, Student Advisor of First-Year Learning and Mentoring (FLAME), who gave introductory briefings on the mentor-mentee program. The orientation program then continued with some insights on the ADTP Student Union. President of Student Union, Ching Zheng Xue, provided information related to the clubs and societies available at ADTP for the first-year students to join. Ms. Gan Chai Lian, Taylor’s University Placement Manager, wrapped up the orientation program with a briefing on the transfer pathways and opportunities and the processes involved in transferring to the students’ choice universities.
