Taylor's Culinary Institute Enriches Student Learning with Renowned Chefs for Future Culinary Leader


As part of our ongoing commitment to providing industry-relevant education, Taylor's Culinary Institute (TCI) has introduced a captivating addition to its culinary programmes - 'Invited Chef Series'. Recently, TCI invited two esteemed Chefs who graced the institute with their culinary expertise. Chef Sean Thu Jyee Ming, Head Chef of Kikubari Restaurant within the prestigious Cinnamon Group, brought his culinary artistry to inspire our students. His culinary journey has been nothing short of amazing, and his creativity, experiences, and love for cooking have left an indelible mark.

Joining us in this endeavor was Chef Andrea Bakhita, Executive Sous Chef of Gordon Ramsay Bar and Grill. With an impressive background spanning eight years, Chef Andrea's extensive experience in various Marriott properties across the region has been recognized with numerous awards including Chaine des rotisserie, Hofex, and Bocouse d’Or. We were thrilled to have her vision and dedication in guiding our students towards realizing their full potential and achieving their dreams.


Both Chef Sean and Chef Andrea collaborated to craft specialized menus that showcase premier quality ingredients and a harmonious blend of classic and modern cooking techniques, igniting a symphony of flavors for the palate. The students of Diploma in Culinary Arts programme had the unique opportunity to learn not only the intricacies of preparing exquisite dishes, but also the philosophies and approaches that define a successful culinary career.

Through the immersive workshops and interactive sessions, TCI's students had the privilege of delving into the culinary minds of these accomplished chefs. Their valuable insights, innovative ideas, and practical guidance have undoubtedly left an incredible impact on our students' culinary journey.
