On 2nd July 2022, a second successful event on "Virtual Craft Winery Tour: Food and Wine Degustation" session with Hither & Yon from Australia garnered an appealing mix. Groups of working adults, wine enthusiast, students, hoteliers, restaurant owners, wine suppliers attended the open session that was organized by Taylor's Culinary Institute (TCI) in collaboration with Cave & Cellar. WSET Instructor & F&B Lecturer Mr. Reuben Arthur as event host collaborated with the Founder of Hither & Yon Malcolm Leask to live streaming the tour to their vineyard and winery in McLaren Valley, South Australia.
This occasion brought the viewers to another level of experience while also enriching their knowledge on the diversity of flavours in five types of wine: Grenache Touriga, Nero D’Avola, Tempranillo, Shiraz, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The event followed by Food & Wine Degustation, a 5-course lunch menu was paired with 5 types of wines from Hither & Yon selection. The 5-course menu was prepared by the TCI Diploma in Culinary Arts students while a great dining experience was served by the Diploma in Hotel Management students.
This event promoted the WSET program to not only the current Diploma students but also to the public which bore fruitful prospects at the end of the session with numerous enquiries regarding the WSET Programme.
