Webinar with Alumni 2.0 - A Transition from University to the Working World


The School of Media and Communication, Taylor’s University organized a second webinar with its alumni, Radiance Leong and Faustina Gui Yen Lin on 15th June 2020. Both alumni shared their experiences, both sweet and bitter experiences when they left Taylor’s University looking for a suitable job.


Radiance who has a degree in Bachelor of Arts (Communication and Media Management) under the UniSA program, graduated from Taylor’s University more than 11 years ago, is now a Deputy Managing Consultant in Archetype Malaysia. She manages matters related to integrated communications and campaigns on issues and reputation management.


Some of her clients were Ayala Land, DiGi, CIMB Bank, Khazanah Nasional Berhad, Nokia Malaysia, and Singapore and Friesland Campina/Dutch Lady. Among her advice to the participants of more than 70 students was to continuously strive for the best and to excel when given a task.


Faustina Gui Yen Lin graduated in Bachelor of Mass Communication (Public Relations and Event Management) in the year 2017 and now works in a digital marketing company. Her take-home advice to the webinar participants was to look for a job that will satisfy and make one happy.


Both alumni were eloquent and able to answer all the questions posed by the participants during the Q & A session that it was not a surprise that the feedback received in the Zoom Group Chat was positive and very encouraging.
