Taylor's University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a local strategic communications company, bzBee Consult Sdn Bhd for its School of Media and Communication. The MoU seeks to explore opportunities and potential programmes that provide practical experience to the university’s students in the field of communication, explore opportunities in research and publications for its lecturers based on aspects related to public relations.


It will also provide developmental support to students through industry-based exposure and training and carry out intellectual discussions, to identify specific areas of focus to better prepare students for the job market. The collaboration will offer students with real-world learning through consultancy projects, industry engagements and exposure, specifically in the areas of Public Relations, Issues and Crises and Stakeholder Management.


As part of this collaboration, the university will provide a space on campus, to be sponsored by bzBee as a Learning Centre. Known as “The Hive”, the centre will be used for practical industry-based exposure for students.

The team of 3 doctoral students from Far Eastern University (FEU) had a 2-day visit to Taylor’s School of Education for a postgraduate immersion programme on October 24th 2019. The doctoral students were accompanied by their Vice President of Academic Development, Dr Myrna Quinto.

Professor Moses from School of Education and Dr Ali Dabaggh (School of Medicine) ran postgraduate research classes separately for the delegates during their 2-day visit. This visit also signifies the start of many more collaborative opportunities between Taylor’s School of Education with FEU.

On 14th October 2019, a beverage development workshop was held at R&D kitchen. This workshop was attended by a 27 international students, 5 teachers and principal from SMA Sekolah Dian Harapan ,Bangka, Indonesia. The purpose of this workshop was to create awareness among students on Culinology® programme and create their interest to join us in near future. This workshop included a programme briefing followed by hands-on activity on how to produce flavor-water-sphere as well as rainbow mock tail. All the students were enjoying to learn the science behind food ingredients & ideation in food beverage innovation. A token of appreciation was given to the principal at the end of workshop.
