The Center for Human Excellence and Development (CHED) won a Bronze Medal in the International Counselling Innovation and Showcase (i-COUNNOVAS 2.0) presented by PERKAMA International. The award was presented for the innovative software used in CHED which was jointly developed by Taylor’s University and GLUECK Technologies. This innovative software can be used for training and development of mental health professionals.


The technology will support students ability to understand non-verbal and recognize their emotional reactions to their clients' stories. The medal was awarded to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anasuya Jegathevi Jegathesan and Mr. Joshua Ng Joo Hou from Taylor’s University Malaysia’s and Gluck Technologies (M) Director Mr. Albert Charles Vincent for the paper titled "Improving Non-Verbal Communication and Micro-Expression Identification Through Emotional Recognition Software: Taylor’s Cognitive, Affective and Behavioral Lab".

Bachelor of Psychology student triumphed once more at the Malaysian Psychology Student Assembly (MAPSA) 2021 Conference. This is an annual conference for all undergraduate and postgraduate Psychology students in Malaysia. Natalya Maurice, a final year student, was one of eight Taylor's Bachelor of Psychology students who attended this year's annual conference organized by Persatuan Psikologi Malaysia (PSIMA) and the UCSI University Psychology Student Association. Her final year project paper, titled ‘The Impact of HIV/AIDS Diagnosis on Individuals Mental Health: An Overview,' was presented.


Taylor's University Bachelor of Psychology students have won every award at the MAPSA conference since they first began participating in 2018. Taylor’s students won the Best Professional Review Paper and Best Peer Review Paper awards in 2018. In addition, Taylor’s students won both the Best Oral Presenter and Best Poster Presenter awards in 2019. This demonstrates the calibre of Bachelor of Psychology programme producing exceptional students to excel in their field.

Taylor’s e-Innofest is a platform to showcase all the culminating ideas of innovation in the different disciplines. During the recent e-Innofest virtual event, the students from Bachelor of International Hospitality Management (BIHM) showcased Multidisciplinary Projects with the students from Architecture and Computer Science to create innovative projects that blows you off your mind. Out of the 6 projects submitted by BIHM students, we are proud to announce that the BIHM project "i-RSV: Multifunctional Robot for Housekeeping - I-Robot, R-Refresh, S-Sanitize, V-Vacuum" has emerged as the Finalists in the category of Commercialization Potential.


The 6 projects presented were conceptualized, planned, developed & co-curated with Taylor’s Me.reka Makerspace from BIMH students through their Hotel Innovation Management Module under the meticulous guidance of the Module Leader Mr. Chiew Boon Tian, Senior Lecturer, School of Hospitality, Tourism and Events:-

  2. Facial Recognition: FR Hotel Ecosystem New Check-In System
