Taylor’s University has officially launched its new postgraduate Master of Clinical Psychology Programme on the 24th of July 2021. The programme was designed in mind to bridge the gaps between increased mental health issues and lack of mental health workforce in the country and also to improve on the current state of clinical psychology trainings provided for the future of the nation. Taylor’s University is truly honoured to have Yang Amat Mulia Tengku Puteri Raja Tengku Puteri Iman Afzan binti Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al Mustafa Billah Shah, International Patron of World Mental Health Day to grace the launch of the programme.

"There is a huge shortage of clinical psychologists in our country to serve individuals with psychological illnesses. There is also an uneven distribution of clinical psychologists with more in the urban-based private sector, which has resulted in a treatment gap. The inclusion of the Master of Clinical Psychology at Taylor’s University is simply a boost to Malaysia’s standards on mental healthcare..." said Tengku Puteri Raja Iman Afzan in her speech. "Financial scholarships for potential students can be provided by Green Ribbon Group for future students, hopefully..." added Tengku Puteri Raja Iman Afzan.
